Neuromotor Rehabilitation - Firenze

The Research Unit in Neuromotor Rehabilitation involves the most represented clinical activity within the Research Institute (RI), dedicated to adults with disabilities associated with neurological or musculoskeletal conditions, including 36 hospital and 75 extrahospital beds, of which 15 in Day care, and about 100 outpatients/day.

The most frequent diagnoses in inpatient care are stroke (about 140 admissions/year) and hip fracture; in outpatient care, chronic back pain (about 160 patients/year), stroke and PD. Treatments may include Hydrotherapy and Technological and Robotic Rehabilitation.

Translational research activity is aimed at prospective study of predictive factors of recovery and response to rehabilitation and validation of innovative protocols and outcome measures.
