Clinical Nutrition Research Unit - Firenze

The Clinical Nutrition Research Unit is responsible for nutrition research in the various rehabilitation settings, focused on malnutrition of critical ill patient such as those with stroke, tracheostomy and severe acquired brain lesions.

Other areas of study are secondary prevention in cardiology, nutrigenomics, pharmacoeconomics, gut microbiota, pressure ulcers, sarcopenia, bone metabolism and the potential benefits of supplements and nutraceuticals on the modulation of inflammatory markers, miRNAs and body composition assessed by bioimpedance.
